This plant has flowers bolted above it. At what point do I know when to collect seeds? I read somewhere it will get fluff on it to fly the seeds, but it hasn’t yet. Can anyone tell me? It is a variety of leaf lettuce.

I got my first watermelon that wasn’t too ripe today! I think they are all getting close to being ripe. I’m scared to pick them but the one I picked today was PERFECT! Of course, I saved the seeds for them. I have seeds if you want some!

24 Jul 2008Collecting sunflower heads today sunflowers Harvesting and first year farm gardenI cut down many heads off the sunflower to use for seeds next year. I took 2 boxes and put them on the front porch to give all the bugs time to get out of the box! Hopefully, when they finish drying out, the seeds will all fall out in the boxes.Cloudy 23°C / 73°F
