20 Apr 2009It's back! Phygelius Breaking Dormancy and Bees & Bugs gardenI was sure it was dead. No new growth, branches were brittle, leaves all gone. But when I went to dig it up to replace it with something new, lo and behold, new sprouts coming out of the root! Yay! 18 Apr 2009Planting out - batch #1 Nickel "Haricots Verts" Planting Out and Vegetable gardenThe first batch were getting too big for their britches, so I planted them out today. Major transplant shock, but most of them perked up after I soaked them and put the grimy row cover on them to shade them a bit. Second batch are just sprouting.20°C / 68°F

21 Mar 2009Separated bed Yukon Gold Potato Transplanted and Vegetable gardenSalvaged some fiberglass roofing to section off the front part of the bed just for the potatoes. Pulled all the tubers as I was clearing and cleaning the bed, and planted them all back in their new dedicated section.Overcast 13°C / 55°F
