I’m blogging about my garden – I got an allotment garden on 3 May and put all my plants in shortly thereafter … check out my blog (http://gardenbre.blogspot.com)

I am using this site to notetake; track seedings and plants (I suppose once all the summer gardening outside is over and the canning & drying is done I’ll catch up and translate my notes) … it will be more technical than ‘the blog & my journal’ …

Years ago, I planted my first seeds after seeing a ‘how to’ show on tv …

It’s been awhile since I’ve had any actual land … but I got the ‘bug’ again last year after seeing garden allotments while on a walk with a friend & dog. It was too late to get on ‘the list’ for a garden but another friend asked if I wanted to help start up a little organic neighbourhood garden behind his place last year and it went really well … so I made sure I set my alarm and made the call to get on ‘the list’ this year (I’ve been told I’m either 2nd or 3rd on it) … patience …

I’ve planted most of the seeds I bought at Seedy Saturday, Carrot Common and Whole Foods. The plantlets are growing in south-facing windowsills. As well, I recently set up an Aerogarden so there would be more light for the seedlings. I am about to set up my rooftop container garden again. It’s not been much – but it’s mine … AND, last but not least, again – I am waiting to see if I get the allotment. [The City is really late letting us know because of mistakes they made on invoices RE changes lowering GST last year.] GrrRrrrOWL
