    Moving leaves

    Vegetable garden
    Spent the afternoon bagging up the leaves we have been storing in the veggie garden since Fall. I made spots for Cucumbers, Tomatoes and Peppers. Also planted Wax Beans.

    Clean up

    I started spring clean up today. I trimmed up a few things a couple weeks ago but I have begun working on cleaning the Iris of dead leaves and weeding and trimming up plants as I go. Started on the Edge of Veggie garden today and finished it. I will head down to the Slope garden.

    Onion Multiplier Topset Harvesting and Vegetable garden
    Harvested 2 onions and found they divide into 6 straight very sweet onions. I am very happy with them.

    Birds

    East Living Room Window garden
    Moving the fountain to its new location in the East Living Room Window Garden was one of the best outside ideas we have had. Yesterday Phil got a heater for the water and this morning when it was 26 outside the birds came to drink. Pictures were taken between 9 and 11 am.

    Stepping stones

    Slope garden , Shade garden , and Corps Land Fence garden
    Moved some white pavers from the slope garden to the slope garden to finish off the walkway. Will use some of Gwen’s stones to make a path in the slope and Corps land garden.

    You Angel You

    Daylily You Angel You Repotted, Grass garden , and Daylily You Angel You Moved
    Had this Daylily a number of years and it has never bloomed. Now it looks sick. I dug it up and perhaps it has crown rot. Cut all the bad off and soaked it in Comet water. Will replant in pots. Have 3 plants now.

    Spiderman

    Daylily Spiderman #1 Potting Up and Slope garden
    This is second year for Spiderman. Bloomed last year but not this year. Got to looking at it closely and discovered what believe to be crown rot. Dug up the clump cut out and treated with Comet and potted up. Now I have 4 plants.

    Gustav

    Daylily Gustav Rogul Potting Up, Porch garden , and Daylily Gustav Rogul #2 Potting Up
    Gustav was succumbing to crown rot. Dug up the clump, cut and dug out all the rot, soaked in Comet water and potted up. Now have 3 plants that I hope will live. Spideman Daylily in a completely different part of the yard had the same problem. Hope my other Daylilies are safe.
