The whole 85×50 foot area is planted! (But we’re not done yet – there is overflow space we will be using.) Today’s additions were winter squash and melons.

Along the bean trellis, we planted about 2/3 Kentucky Wonder, to be harvested as green beans, and the rest cannellini beans.
All of our seed beans are from our harvest last year. We got a lot of beans, and somehow ended up eating none of them. I think we were afraid of not having enough for seeds...

Planting was the focus for this weekend. Last weekend we got the sweet potato mounds dug (by “we” I mean Chris) and now we have the potatoes planted and mounded. We are working on getting the onions and carrots planted.
Onions were all planted as of 5/11, still working on the carrots....
