21 May 2009Tomatoes transplanted! Golden Sundrop Cherry Tomato Planting Out, Red Currant Cherry Tomato Planting Out, and Pink Whippersnapper ...Well, my little babies went out last night. It was so tough to put them out! The “kit” itself featured about 8 or so plants in what quickly became a very small planter so we had to snip and gently tease apart the root systems of the plants to replant them – no idea how well they...22°C / 72°F

14 May 2009Curly cress and arugula sprouting! Curly Cress (Peppergrass) Sprouting and Arugula SproutingThe old dog crate worked like MAGIC – the pots haven’t been dug up once, they’re still easy to water, and voila – seedlings! Guess it will be a few more days for the endive, also in the same container.20°C / 68°F

14 May 2009Flowers sprouting Bachelor Buttons Sprouting and Candytuft SproutingI care very little about these guys – they’re just a filler for the front yard, since I don’t feel comfortable planting too many edibles out front due to all the dogs peeing. But they’re up, which means hopefully they’ll fill in nicely.20°C / 68°F

The tomatoes are adapting nicely but the zucchinis are really suffering – turning lighter green, and a few of the leaves closer to the bottom of the stem are wilting and/or dying. But they...16°C / 61°F
