I am a stay at home mother of three, two girls and one boy, currently 4, 2, and 5 weeks (as of June 1, 09). We live in north Edmonton and have a north/south yard. The backyard is south and gets lots of sun while the north yard is mostly shaded. Currently I don’t have much time for gardening, it’s usually done while the kids are napping or after they are in bed, which means my garden is sorely ignored. The beds are slowly filling in as most items have just been planted in the last 3 years. They are filled with perennials, fruit bearing plants/bushes, bulbs, a few trees, bushes and evergreens. I find gardening refreshing to the soul and very relaxing. We also have a vegetable garden just behind our garage, small, but productive.
