I’m a SAHM of a preschooler and an infant. I tried to garden last year, but being pregnant and home alone (hubby deployed) made the whole gardening idea too difficult. It should be a lot easier this year, and hubby is here to help build the rasied beds that come in handy here.
I grew up around farmers, but never had to help much more than shelling peas or shucking corn. In addition, we live close to the Gulf Coast, and it is much warmer than the climate I grew up in, so it will be interesting to see how things grow.
I want my children to understand where their food comes from, and how they can provide for themselves food that tastes much better than store-bought.
I also like to crochet and read in what little spare time I have left.
