    Pictures from the Boulevard Box

Japanese Sedge (Carex Morrowii 'Aureo-variegata') Moved, Pulmonaria - Pink Dividing, and Front yard garden
Just a few early photos of the box on the boulevard. I removed the miscanthus because it was getting too big and over shadowing everything. And also removed an overgrown Japanese sedge. I added some divided daylilies and the splecked plant whose name I never remember-Pulmonaria!

    Meditation on buttercup

Herbs - Stinging Nettle Growing, Lovage Growing, and Backyard - Back 40 garden
You’d think I was growing buttercup as a crop the way it has taken over in some areas of my garden. This year I am determined to wrestle back some control in some areas. I cleared away the buttercup (and hops from neighbour) from around the compost bins and the lovage and it only took me 3 ...

Vegetable - Bunching onion 'Green Scallion' Planting Out and Backyard - West Fence Veggie garden
Thought I’d try to grow scallions this year. Bought a package of 12 bulbs and planted them 4 inches apart along the edge of the veggie bed. They are nondescript “early green onions”. (Bonus: the package contained 15 bulbs)

    Wisteria Heaven

Backyard - Back deck garden and Flowers - Chinese Wisteria
I don’t claim to have the most amazing wisteria display — my friend Gerda in North Van does — but my display gets better and better every year! I created an overhead framework on the deck last year and trained the wisteria to grow along it so we would get more shade on the deck....
