I am a compulsive gardener! I have my vegetable garden in a cage…enclosed entirely in chicken wire,,,thanks to the deer, ground squirrels, rabbits and birds. I have 4×8 beds which I am currently removing and just going for planting in the ground. Our well is basically dry and we haul water and the beds do not retain moisture as well as the ground. I have a drought tolerant perennial garden and various other small flowering and decorative plantings around the house.
