I planted out the chrysanth cuttings on the allotment earlier this year and, despite the lack of staking and care, they have flowered. The stems are not straight but have solved the problem with small-necked vases and a bowl of water.

Just been out to get more ericaeous compost to pot on the camelia. The weather is suddenly autumnal and cold! Rain forecast for rest of week. Have frozen the last of the sweetcorn from the allotment and enjoying the cabbages. Started on digging over weekend.
