    Harvested most of the broad beans 3 Broad bean crimson flowering Harvesting and Edible garden
    I left one plant in to collect the seeds for next year, otherwise made a batch of spicy broad bean fritters, and blanched and froze the rest. I used a lot of coriander and mint from the garden in the fritters as well, and really enjoyed them, so definitely a recipe I will use again. These seem to...

    Raspberries starting to flower 1 Rasberry heritage Flowering and Edible garden
    This is really early, as they are autumn fruiting ones, but I think the sudden hot weather has affected them. So far, just the original ones i put in are flowering. I am not sure how long it takes the suckers to flower. Will have to see how they go.

    I have snowpeas! snowpea roi de carouby Setting Fruit and Edible garden
    All of a sudden I have lots of snowpeas. At least enough for a stirfry. They develop so quickly that the flowers were finished before I took a photo. They flowers seem to be a mix of purples and pinks. Really nice compared to the cream flowers of the last variety i grew.

    In the last few weeks the coriander has grown tremendously, but the sudden heat has meant that it has bolted to flower, so I will need to use as much as I can before it seeds.

    Lobelia doing well lobelia crystal palace Flowering and Ornamental garden
    I planted the lobelia in the no-dig garden, and even though they are not near the dripper outlets, they are doing well and starting to flower even in this heat. The no-dig garden seems to retain moisture a lot better than the rest of the garden.

    Update on nasturtiums 1 nasturtium scarlet , Front garden , nasturtium scarlet Flowering, and Nasturtium Black Velvet Budding
    The scarlet nasturiums in the pots are starting to flower, however the nasturtiums out the front which had been going really well have frazzeled a little in the heat. Will have to see if they recover. The black nasturtiums are budding up so hopefully will flower in the next few days.

    The dietes and the dianellas are all flowering, and doing well despite the heat.

    The walenbergia which Sandy gave me is flowering, only a few flowers so far, so I have added a photo I took of Sandy’s walenbergia instead as it is much more impressive.
