My ‘old man’ grew up on small farms, and I grew up working closely with a neighbor who had a 1/2 city lot garden. My first garden was a small patch of carrots & onions, because I liked to thin them. ;) The ‘old man’ helps, but I’m the driving force, lol.
I moved back home after 4 years away, and found that the victory garden I had started wasn’t kept up. We’re red-necks and I don’t have much of a budget to work with. I even had to re-start the compost.

Zone 5b I am using mainly seeds I saved from grocery store vegetables. I like to make sure to pot up only viable seeds, so I start them on damp paper towel...
