Sunny 33°C / 91°FI keep thinking about how I was juuuuust about to pitch the pot of spaghetti squash seeds when one finally sprouted, and now, it’s my lustiest grower. It’s covered in blooms and climbing the walls. The tomatoes, peppers, basil, and carrot continue to do well. I was at Mozart’s c...

Sunny 26°C / 78°FThe carrot, by gum, is going like gang busters, and another has sprouted. (But clearly the seeds are kaput, since about 80% were duds.) The parsley is doing well, despite being dug up shortly after being sown. And the bell peppers and the basils are looking like plants. Glorious spring.

Sunny 26°C / 78°FMany plants are flowering: the tomatoes, the poppies, and the spaghetti squash. We sat out in the sun last weekend, watching the squirrels chitter lasciviously, the lizards suggestively flash their red throats, the cardinals sing lustily, and the pollen drift in thick clouds and settle on our shi...

Sunny 24°C / 75°FThe flower garden is green and lush. No flowers yet, but it’s gonna be something once it gets going. I think I might have a snapdragon going, too. Maybe.

Everything's coming up... carrots
CarrotSunny 24°C / 75°FMy mother teases me at every opportunity about last year’s meager carrot, but honest, I’ve got a carrot growing! However, given that I’ve planted about 6 and only 1 has really sprouted, I think I need to acknowledge that these seeds are too old.

Welcome to the great outdoors, leetle plantlets
Vegetable garden , Cilantro Planting Out, and Parsley Planting OutSunny 24°C / 75°FI thought I was just going out to transplant a few seedlings into pots to give away, but the dirt was too compelling. I planted the cilantro into the area of the pepper bed reserved for it and the parsley into the in-between spots amongst the tomatoes.

Sunny 23°C / 73°FPlanted the peat-pots containing the evening glories along the fence behind the flower garden. It was a bit of a tough decision, because I walk back there to weed the flower garden, and because there are already some competing vines. I’m hopeful, but nervous.
