    Grow, grow, grow

Spaghetti Squash , Red Tomato , Pepper from Kathy , Carrot , Container parsley , and Vegetable garden
I keep thinking about how I was juuuuust about to pitch the pot of spaghetti squash seeds when one finally sprouted, and now, it’s my lustiest grower. It’s covered in blooms and climbing the walls. The tomatoes, peppers, basil, and carrot continue to do well. I was at Mozart’s c...

    Green, green, growing

Carrot Sprouting, Container parsley , Vegetable garden , and Pepper from Kathy
The carrot, by gum, is going like gang busters, and another has sprouted. (But clearly the seeds are kaput, since about 80% were duds.) The parsley is doing well, despite being dug up shortly after being sown. And the bell peppers and the basils are looking like plants. Glorious spring.

    Lookin' for Love

Around the Yard garden , Spaghetti Squash Flowering, Red Tomato Flowering, and Poppy 'Red' Blooming
Many plants are flowering: the tomatoes, the poppies, and the spaghetti squash. We sat out in the sun last weekend, watching the squirrels chitter lasciviously, the lizards suggestively flash their red throats, the cardinals sing lustily, and the pollen drift in thick clouds and settle on our shi...

    Go, squash, go.

    Butternut Squash and Spaghetti Squash
The butternut squashes are holding steady. The spaghetti squash seems to be enjoying its new home.

    Big, bushy flower garden

Birthday Flower garden , Four O'Clock 'Mirabilis Jalapa' , Daffodil Narcissus , Moonflower , Snapdragons Sp...
The flower garden is green and lush. No flowers yet, but it’s gonna be something once it gets going. I think I might have a snapdragon going, too. Maybe.

    Everything's coming up... carrots

    Carrot
My mother teases me at every opportunity about last year’s meager carrot, but honest, I’ve got a carrot growing! However, given that I’ve planted about 6 and only 1 has really sprouted, I think I need to acknowledge that these seeds are too old.

Welcome to the great outdoors, leetle plantlets

Vegetable garden , Cilantro Planting Out, and Parsley Planting Out
I thought I was just going out to transplant a few seedlings into pots to give away, but the dirt was too compelling. I planted the cilantro into the area of the pepper bed reserved for it and the parsley into the in-between spots amongst the tomatoes.

    Be free!

Moonflower Planting Out, Indoor Seed-Starter garden , and Vegetable garden
Planted the peat-pots containing the evening glories along the fence behind the flower garden. It was a bit of a tough decision, because I walk back there to weed the flower garden, and because there are already some competing vines. I’m hopeful, but nervous.
