Hubby and I have just turned 50 and live a semi-retired lifestyle on half an acre in a small rural township. Life’s good! Our son and daughter have moved out of town but still keep in contact and visit when they can. We share our lives now with our dog Lucky, The Black Ninja cat, and many chooks last count about 15.
I’m battling the water crisis to grow our food in Australia. The area I live in is becoming more arid each year. Our average rainfall is just over 300mm, last year we did well with 338mm…we’ve had no rain so far this year…it’s summer and if we’re lucky we could catch a few thunderstorms. In fact our summer last year was wetter than our winter…when it was supposed to be wet! Go figure.
So as you might guess I’m always on the search for ways of making better use of our precious water supply.
