I’m a big garden geek that loves to spend the entire year absorbed in everything to do with gardening. If its late fall – early winter…chances are that I’m trading seeds like crazy. Mid – late winter…sowing as many seeds as I possibly can and am up to my eyeballs in winter sowing containers. Early spring, tending to the new “babies” and doing any prep work outside…then finally summer. My favorite time of year…watching everything that I’ve planted start blooming, the butterflies dancing around the yard, the hummingbirds flitting by….I’m in heaven.

I love to grow

Oh gosh...where do I start!! I love growing tropicals or anything odd or unusual. Right now the "big baby" of the collection would have to be my vigna caracalla (snail vine). It took me forever to track down seeds a few years ago and this past summer was the first time it bloomed. Now "he" is so big, I am constantly taking cuttings to share with friends and family. The new additions in the spring are already on order...a black and a white bat plant. Move over big vine cause you're going to have to share some of the attention with the new comers!!

Hobbies

I love cooking...especially new recipies. Reading new books..especially murder mysteries and love to watch a good scary movie when the hubby and I can get time alone.
