Last night’s low was 26. Despite covering the grapes the leaves that were just starting to look like leaves are about 90% freeze killed. Now we’ll see how long it takes for the secondary leaves to show. The apple and cherry trees don’t look bad but the blossoms that were there...Mostly Cloudy 12°C / 54°F -

The last two days have been warm so I’ve been outside… of course. Yesterday was tilling. I got Jamie’s and my garden sections for cold crops tilled. Jamie is starting to get the hang of the tiller. The garden is partially shaded in the summer by a huge honey locust tree so it is also littered with seed pods from that tree every fall and spring. It was a fairly warm sunny day (flannel shirt instead of a coat… that’s fairly warm) so I figured I would break out the rake and clean a...Sunny 11°C / 52°F -

:::sigh::: This year wasn’t much of a gardening year. DW and I spent the hottest part of the summer (which was most of it) in the house at the air conditioner. Her meds make her very photosensitive (she gets sunburned even in dappled sunlight). We did get out a few times, but not anywhere...Mostly Cloudy 17°C / 63°F -

DW and I spent the late afternoon hours at the garden. I weeded and generally cleaned up the herb garden. It actually looks like an herb garden again instead of an abandoned weed lot. There’s still a bit to do, but it looks much better already. I hope we can spend more time in the garden...Sunny 25°C / 77°F -
