I’ve been stuck in containers for several years now because I am an apartment-dweller. Oxford now has a Community Garden, so I’ve registered for a 10′ × 16′ plot, and I’m really excited to get in some real dirt! I’ll be trying out several new vegetables this year.
Although I sometimes use fertilizer such as Miracle Gro on my plants, I am an all-organic pest-control freak. I swear by neem oil solution with castille soap and pepper in it. It even kept the tomato bugs down last year! It doesn’t hurt the pollinators like bees and butterflies, unlike every commercial chemical spray you can buy, and that’s very important to me.

I love to grow
Tomatoes, basil and tarragon have been my favorite so far. I have an orchid that I'm trying to convince to bloom again. It's my first one, so we'll see how successful this venture turns out to be.
Hobbies
I cook, knit, and am a know-it-all/unsolicited advice guru.
