I am an emotional gardener. If the plants and hardscaping do not sustain me emotionally, I have no use for them. So, I am a creator in my garden. I like to add homemade art and art that I find. I like to add free form plants and not enforce perfect plantings. But, I also have a love for what my family and I call ‘Disney Flowers’. Every now and then, I have to have mass plantings of one or two or three flowers that form patterns and are so crowded that no dirt can be seen. Sometimes I plant waves, sometimes a large ‘R’ or ‘D’ for our last names, sometimes I plant hearts or even, yes, hidden Mickeys.
