I didn’t end up fertilizing my strawberry plants after all. They are growing quite large on their own. I haven’t check the blooms in a few days, but I don’t think any strawberries are growing yet.

I planted the zucchini...not sure it will grow 2 Unhappy Zucchini Sown
Almost all of the baby zucchini plants that I grew from seed, broke while I was transplanting them. Maybe I didn’t let them grow big enough inside. Bummer.

Second harvest of rhubarb Very Happy Rhubarb Harvesting
After a second harvest of the rhubarb, I made some rhubarb crisp the other day. Not as yummy as in the past, but still quite good. The rhubarb is starting to flower. I’m sure there will be enough for another harvest, but I’m not quite sure what to do with the flowers. In the past ...

Every other day I keep checking on my Peonies. They are so close to popping! I can’t wait. I’ll take some pictures when they do. I’m just so happy that they have grown so much. Just think, planting some “sticks” in the ground a few years ago, and now I’ve got...

Hostas are growing bigger Very Happy Hosta
My hostas seem to like where I planted them, thank goodness. I really didn’t know. The funny thing, is that they came along for the ride with a bunch of ferns that my neighbor gave me. I don’t think I took a picture of their “early years” when they were intertwined with...

No blooms, but lots of Day Lily foliage goodness! Day Lillies and East Sideyard garden
The title says it all. These Day Lilies actually are my neighbors. I think they were in their yard when they moved in. We share them, because they are on either side of our fence. Looking forward to the blooms!

Roses are looking good! Climbing Pinata Roses
After the fertilizing, the rosebushes are looking good! Although I’ve not planted roses before, I’m thinking that I shouldn’t expect them to bloom this year. But they look happy, even though they don’t have blooms. Take a look!
