Nine (I think) chillies harvested from one of the cayenne plants and given to my mum. Think I need to start using chillies at a higher rate than I currently am as they’re not getting harvested enough! Hoping some of them will riped to red – that would look pretty spectacular on the p...

Harvest No.9 - Pak Choi (again) and 8 Strawberries Pak Choi Harvesting and Strawberry Runners Harvesting
Cut down the remaining 2 pak choi. Left a few of the bottom leaves on to see if it will ‘come again’, although I don’t think pak choi does that. Today it went into a delicious Thai salad. Eight strawberries were ready to pick today – varying sizes and a few of them were ...

Four Cuttings Taken of Cape Primrose Salad Leaves - Polycress Sown and Cape Primrose
This little plant seems to be doing well and had a good few stems I thought I could take some cuttings from. The plan was to multiply this plant to dot around the new flat myself and my boyfriend will be moving into in August. I think it would be quite a treat to see those pretty purple flowers...

6 more tasty strawberries harvested today :) I was getting a bit worried about the beans as they had been flowering for weeks but I couldn’t see any fruit setting. But they’ve started now – looks like they just take longer than the tomatoes, strawberries, courgettes etc. Good ...

Courgette is Very Very Sick =( Very Unhappy Courgette
It’s a miserable drizzly day here in London and to top it off, the powdery mildew on my courgette plant has now got so bad, that I’ve had to take pictures to document it on here. I understand powdery mildew is caused by dry conditions, implying that I haven’t watered the plant e...
