    Fall Dreams
Working a lot in the garden lately. My surviving toad lilies have buds and the best one has bloomed! They are so unique and beautiful! I have brought in my dahlia for the winter. I have pruned my roses back since I plan on giving all but probably three of them away. I am planning for a raised ...

I am so excited becuase I finally found helleborus (Royal Heritage) on sale for cheap ($5 a plant!) and I ordered them yesterday. I ordered three. Shovel Pruned Rose 'Double Delight' and Rose garden
Good bye double delight. I dug her up today which I think was the right call to make. Her roots were pitiful, not much better than when she was a bareroot. Double Delight and her rust are no more.

    Springhill Nursery- Thumbs Down
I placed an order on 5/5/08 for ranunculus mix from http://springhillnursery.com. The ranunculus was on sale, seemed like a good deal and I was looking forward to getting it sort of early the month when I wasnt quite so busy. Friday, 5/16, still no flowers, and when I checked their website, their...

    Transplants In! Rose garden
My lilies and daisies are in the ground. Iseulte gave them to me yesterday and though I had to work in the rain to get them in the ground, they are in. The lilies are circled around the maple up front and the daisies are in near the holly. I dont know how they will do so close to the holly. I ...

    Exciting Times 1
Well, my two baby hostas go to Iseulte tomorrow, and she is bringing me shasta daisys and tiger lilies. My grandmother has promised peonies, iris, and other assorted perennials. My compost is started but I need to add my newspaper and coffee grounds to it. It rained cats and dogs on us last night...

    No Love Back Deck garden
I have not planted my callas and my pixie lily. Hubby has been away a lot this week and the baby has wanted a lot of attention. Doesnt look like they will get planted tonight either. We are going out for Mexican and to the Great Big Greenhouse. It’s supposed to rain cats and dogs anyway, ...

http://springhillnursery.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_55665 Mixed Ranunculus. I plan to ring these around the maple out front for some real color in the yard. 24 will be too many, but it was a special with 12 for $11.99 and 24 for $12.00 (the One-Cent Sale). I guess I will have some ranunculus to sh...

    Cool Stuff Coming My Way
My grandma is quite the gardener, and when she visited this weekend, she offered me a number of day lilies, irises, and a few other things. I probably wont get them until this fall, but that works for me. I will probably give her the dahlia tuber I have. I am making plans for a little bed of flo...
