I am an enthusiastic but sporadic gardener. I can prepare soil, I can plant, I can tend. I can also forget to water or prune or weed. Or, if I don’t forget, I am often busy doing something else.
And as for harvesting, well, don’t get me started about my shortcomings in that department. I’ll just say that, on the occasions that my growing is successful, I am often overwhelmed and leave far too much fruit or vegetable on the tree/bush/whatever. And I’ve been gardening in such a haphazard way that over 20 years I haven’t really learnt anything.
So a year ago I started again. I’m trying to be serious about my gardening, trying to learn, and most of all: trying to harvest.
