How to I summarize that which makes up my whole being in a few short paragraphs? I have never felt a particularly need for labels, since I am, and can only be, myself. Still, profile pages are awfully tricky to write without them, and there are a few titles that I do not mind.
I am a wife. Michael and I were handfasted on June 23rd, 2007. I love Michael for all that he is and because he loves me for all that I am. Though we definitely have our ups and downs, as all couples surely do, we share the same dreams and will reach them together because of our love and respect for each other. We make an amazing team and I love him with all my heart.
I am a mother, the most challenging and the most rewarding job in the world. My son, Damian, was born at the Spokane Midwives birth center on Friday, June 6th, 2008. He is the precious shining star in my husband and my life. I am currently pregnant with our second child (due around the beginning of December) and am looking so forward to meeting her!
I am a gardener, a crafter, a bumbling novice photographer. There is something that lives deep inside me which calls out to be allowed to create. It wants to learn, to grow, to live life to it’s fullest. If I do not let it out I become a very cranky scary person indeed. I am passionately against over paying for something, so when I can make it myself. That goes for everything from clothing through decorating my home to grinding my own wheat for baking.
I am a child of the Wild Old Mama Earth. I was on this path which for a long time before I realized that there others walking the way with me. Some might call me a Pagan or a Witch, and I don’t mind, as long as it is said free of hate. We are so blessed to have this tiny blue planet to call home and I consider it my spiritual obligation to do all that I can to take care of it.
I love my life and I love to laugh. I love the sunrise and set, the passings of the moon, the flowing of a river, the changing aspects of nature and the simple joys life has to offer. I love the feeling of being a small part in a whole. My life, so far, has been quite the journey and I know there is much more self-discovery to come. I am blessed to have my husband, my children, my friends, and the spirits as companions along this wanderlusting way.
