Hello everyone, I grew up watching dad tending lovingly to his plants and have always wanted to have my own garden. But our apartment’s balcony could only accommodate that many plants. I am happy to say that now I have my own small gardening space, and a supportive husband who is happy to let me take care of the gardening space.
I like my gardens to be both functional and ornamental. One of the most inspiring garden shows I saw recently wais the “Spanish Paradise: Gardens of the Alhambra” at the NYBG. These gardens, I learned, cater to many senses: sight, smell, sound and taste. Lovely! This is what my future garden will be like. For now, I have tinkering with different plants, hoping to learn their habits and finding the ones to match my personality, tastes, and immediate environment.
