Having found out a few years ago that I am intolerant to chemicals & preservatives, I had made the switch to buying organic whenever possible. However, with economic times, my dollar wasn’t stretching far enough, so I decided that if I wanted to remain healthy and still have a couple pennies left over at the end of the month, I had to start growing my own veggies. Well, this past season of organic veggie growing didn’t go very well – lost lots of stuff to BUGS! Very disappointing! But I am not giving up! I did get some fantastic arugula, hot and sweet peppers and some cherry tomatoes – still hoping the tomatillo fill out and may get one or two eggplant. And, of course, my herbs are doing great – been growing them for a few years now. Getting ready to put in my fall stuff; that is one thing I love about living in SW FL – more growing time!
