I can’t remember a time where I didn’t love to be in a garden. My mother has always had a green thumb like know one I know! As I got older, I helped her plant annuals, then perennials, then vegetables and berries. Now I’m a newly wed with a home of my own. A new construction type that had NOTHING on it except the scrappy trees at the back of the lot line concealing the RR tracks. My husband is a professional landscaper, but I do all the veggie gardening, bulb planting, berry handling, and herbs…not to mention the planning. Hey, a girl has got to have her say, right? tehe.
Having a few health issues, eating healthy is important to me. This drives my desire to keep a large organic garden.
I love all things old fashion too. Hence, I’m learning old techniques of canning and preserving this year too.
Well, I hope to learn here and share what I know if it may help others. Happy planting!
