I have a long lineage of male dirt farmers and my skills pale in comparison to my Dads’ and Grandfathers’. I have had a nice backyard with a well sectioned growing area and have recently decided to get back into gardening. In the years past, I have been extremely lazy, but no more excuses.
I have planted an heirloom garden, native wildflowers, and a honey bee garden. I plan to also become an amateur bee keeper soon because I am concerned about the wellness of the honey bees and I can’t sit around waiting for someone else to solve the problem for me. Lastly, I had drip irrigation installed to make the watering easier; especially when the temperatures crack ninety plus degrees. This was necessary because I work in SF and the garden may not be able to go all day in the crushing heat without a drink until I can drive all the way home.
