I have been growing plants since I was a young child. My parents have always kept a garden and even when I was cooped up inside a tiny dorm room I still managed to have at least a handful of plants around me. I think that growing things gives a person immense satisfaction and when I am stressed just gazing at my plants makes me feel better. Now I have moved to Southern Texas and the climate change is significant. There is no real winter here as far as I can tell and I am trying to learn to adjust my growing methods to work here because the sizzling constant heat of the summers make it hard on a lot of plants. Things I would normally be setting transplants out of (In the beginning of May)should have been set out as transplants in late February or March!
