I garden organically and as mcuh permaculture as I can fit into my little unit (apartment) garden. We have only been here since Dec 2008, so have been avidly composting and amending the soil. The soil just gets better and better, and so do the fruits vegetables and flowers that I am producing in my tiny space. I didnt even know the zones went up to a zone 14, but that is what it came up when I looked on the map. The summer here (called “the wet”) is very hot and humid and I am trying to grow vegetables all year round, which means experimenting with tropical type vegetables.
