Mashua rotting and snow doesn't stop
Mashua 'Ken Aslet' bed 2 , Yakon , and pepper 'Siling Labuyo'Looking outside, the winter is back with a vengeance! Snow, snow, snow. Since my last journal entry back in July, life has completely changed. Finally I’m well underway to becoming a mom. Springtime promises more than bulbs and flowers this year! I harvested the last of the Celeriac today and also some Parsnip and Hamburg Parsley. Was just lucky that the ground had defrosted a bit because in the night it’s freezing again… Seems that spring is not going to arrive yet…. Anyway, these vegetables will make a lovely Norwegian...Clear 0°C / 32°F -

Broad beans and peas survived the frost
Greenpea 'Meteor' , Broad bean 'Triple White' , and Broad bean 'Aguadulce à très longue coss'An observation: the broad beans in general survived the frost. At the coldest, is was -12°C this last frost period. There were some casualties, especially the Aquadulce seems to have more dropouts than the triple white. Na enkele maanden winterrust in de buitenkast heb ik vandaag de vier bulben van deze Pleione weer opgepot. Ze staan nu voor opkweek binnen in de gang voor het raam op het noorden. De kas was misschien een betere plek, maar ik ben bang dat daar de slakken en de muizen eraan gaan.
